wow nice picture, I'm looking for a good sized frag of this, and found someone on the east coast with it so just want to make sure they look the same. not sure if I'm going to do it now that I saw the colony.

roktsintst,

Do you know any of the history of this piece? It look simmilar to a few others I have seen and was wondering if this is a new name for an old piece, or what?

Looks like a crayola plana from your pics?

Just trying to learn a little is all, thanks

Here's mine that I got from Shadowramy who got it from Roktsintst who I think got it from Reefready(?). It is different than the Crayola plana in that the plana is a table and the grapejuice is a tightly branched acro, but not a table

This was a 1" frag 4 months ago, so for me I think it grows very well. I have dropped my photoperiod from 8 to 6 hours around then, so my corals started growing a little slower. The base is a bit more blue in person. I'm still figuring out how to use my camera.

Doug, i got mine directly from matt a few years back. It is quite different from the crayola plana in structure and color, my photography skills just suck.

As far as coloring up, i have always had mine up high so i have never had an issue.

The second picture is blue but it is the best way i have found to capture the color of the coral, and i also run radiums w/ actinics so i have a lot of blue in my tank.

No man, it's still kickin. It's color is best on the floor of the tank.
