Any shooters on here??

I can't remember where you live Ken, but if you are towards ontario, ammo bros is usually pretty good service, and at I haven't been to ontario, but the cerritos store is BIG, albeit with the current craze, maybe even they are out of g19s. But again...just my opinion, it's such a commonly owned gun that they go on the market ALL THE TIME. I would just have a hard time paying for a new g19. Something that's more exotic...ok. But that's like...I dunno...a honda civic. They're everywhere

Ken, I'd call Ammo brothers as well. They were hit pretty hard the last two weeks but they have much better CS then Turners..I was at Bass Pro Shops a few days ago, they still had a decent selections of hand guns left.

FWIW, if you don't mind ordering online, Buds guns has em for 575.00

Chuck, have you ever ran across a TISAS Classic 1911-A1 45ACP ? Made in Turkey. I've read good things about em...

Naw man...if it isn't 9mm I don't pay too much attention. I don't want to start buying a different type of ammo.

I like sgammo (when stuff is in stock). as for CTD....they're trying to sell "bulk" "discounted" 62gr 5.56 for 1k/1k. That's insanity. Not to mention you can't shoot that steel core stuff in most of socal anyways. for pistol reloads "ammoman" (look up on CGN) has good stuff at unbeatable prices. I heard he's doing 7.62x39 again at reasonable prices as well. I dunno it's non magnetic or not. I just don't want to stock/store too many different calibers. Try to keep it streamlined.

Check out cheaper than dirt usually good prices on bulk ammo if your worried about paying extra for different ammo
Just FWIW, CTD has really been gouging lately. I guess the "ban craze" went to their head, but I saved a few screen shots the other night of $15 mags on "sale" for $59,99, etc.
Oh BTW, I shoot 1911's, ARs, H&K P7s and Walthers, mostly. Also build and trick out .22 pistols and rifles. On the work computer, but I can post up pictures sometime.

I've been buying ammo online from Graf & son. The prices are as good as any local store and shipping is free. They charge a 5.00 fee for every order. I just try and order as much as I can afford or have room for in the safe when I order.

Ah, I remembered posting some on another forum, so I can cut and share here!
6 7/8ths inch Ruger Mark 3 Hunter. As it came:

After changing out all the internals for Volquartsen parts, removing the loaded chamber indicator and magazine safety, and adding a red dot scope:

This is a Ruger Mark 3 Talo edition Hunter, I bought it for the fluted barrel and grips. Of course, these things need upgrading and redundant safeties removed, so that's what I did.

The after isn't as drastic, but it shoots MUCH better:

Old School Mark 2, this is the Mark 3 before Ruger added the stupid safeties:

And the best shooting out of the box target pistol I have ever shot, 1969 Browning Challenger:

Thanks for looking. I'll see if I can't find some other guns too.

The crown jewel of my collection, a Volkmann Precision 1911. Shoots 1/2" at 50 yards, and locks up like a bank vault. Everyone who likes shooting should experience a custom 1911 at some point. It's hard to describe how smooth and yet tight at the same time they are. Luke Volkmann builds each one himself, and all checkering, etc. is done by hand.

I took about a hundred pictures under different flashes and settings to get these to half way come out. It's the hardest thing to photo, the slide's very shiny:

Moonpod has the right idea. I don't even remember how many different calibers I have. Hey, speaking of price gouging, check out the pictures below. The pics were taken last week during the run. I heard on other forums people were paying top dollar for pmags. I would have sold some of my hicaps out of state, but in california we can't buy anymore unless you had them before the ban so eh...I am keeping mine.

I seriously doubt they will ban ARs, as they are the most popular rifle in the US. But regular capacity mags (incorrectly called "High capacity") might just go at some point. I hate that.

What is normal caps for you is high caps for us. California banned the future acquisition of them in this state back in 2000. If you had them before thats fine.

You know what gets me? when people mention their rifles as "platforms". I dunno, always irked me. You are right on AR's being widely used and popular. Seems like everyone and their mom has one. That is one more reason why I like my .308''s even more.

I am well versed in your state's gun laws. Honestly, it was a big factor in keeping me from moving there years ago. Here's hoping Yee doesn't make any headway with the bill he's proposing. Calguns is doing some great work out there.

Grip is a Hogue, don't remember which one. I literally just bought grips until one felt perfect. -Edit, that was in reference to the grip on it now! That grip was a stock A2 with a grip sleeve over it. I have one I like better now, digging for picture.
Found it!

Trigger is a Geissele 3 Gun S/D and it may be the best purchase I ever made.

damn. now you have me looking at 2-300 dollar triggers....almost as bad as reefing....

it think it's worse! i started out years ago with 9mm (G19) with the same intent of sticking with 9...it worked for a bit but its inevitable...you'll want to expand! Now i've "consolidated" to 9, 45, 44mag, 22lr, 223, 308, 357mag, 17hmr and....

so i have this spare ar lower...was debating a 6.8SPC upper or another .223 upper thoughts?
