Just got my pair of Black Ocellaris hosting in my RBTA yesterday (Friday). I had it in a empty quaratine tank for 1 week.
Here's my tough love method that has work for me:
With the tank lights off, I put the smallest of the 2 into main tank with RBTA. I use a stick to herd it toward the RBTA. Whenever it wanders off to the tank corners, I use the stick to push it back into the RBTA.
After a couple of hours, it seems to get the idea and stay within the area of the RBTA. After a while, it began to touch the RBTA and the next night, it was staying around the RBTA without any push from me. Next night, lights out, I also put the larger/female into main tank with smaller male. It went straight to the male and
they both start rubbing against the RBTA. Wahlaaa...hosting clowns.
2 things that I think made it work for me:
I have a large blue tang and a large yellow tang, the clowns are pretty scare of these guys.
I wasn't afraid to scare the heck out of my small clown, scare him enough to make him seek shelter.
Both of these were ORA tank raise.
