any way to encourage hair algae or turf algae growth??

as i stated above in a few different posts. i already have "tang feeder sheets" and they are not working.
and again like i stated in my previous post i added a small rock with hair algae on it and the tang ate all of the hair algae before it could spready.

But seriously, maybe try grabbing some rock with it already growing from someone again but this time put it in your fuge with some other rock and seed it from there, instead of putting it in your display immediately. Feed him a small rock once a week or so...

They don't really need a LOT of it as a supplement to receive the benefits from it.

Thats sounds like a good idea if the hair algae in the sump wont mess with the growth of my macro. I might try it and see what happens

I dont bother with nori for my Tangs....far to messy. I use lettuce instead, fixed in a clip. It does not fall apart and they bite it off in small chunks...they just love it !!!

Black, Yellow, Yellow Bellied Blue and Chevron Tangs here...

... nobody eats hair algae...
