I have a green BTA which was "bubbly" when I bought it. But ceased to be so almost immediately when my tomato clown started to live in it.
I recently did a tank transfer, banishing my clown to the sump while I decide what to do with him. I thought he might be stressing the anemone, but it seems to be pretty much the same as before. I've tried feeding, and not feeding. After not really seeing a difference, now I just drop a couple dry pellets into it each time I feed.
Other than not having bubbles, the anemone seems to be doing pretty well. It has grown a lot since I first got it and has a nice, dark greenish brown color.
I've read that the presence of bubbles is not indicative of the health of the anemone, but this seems pretty strange. I also prefer the looks of the BTA to other anemones.
