I saw they had some in stock yesterday and of course by today they are out. I bit the bullet and got a pair as I have a hell of a time trying to find these guys anywhere else. Anyone else here pick some up? Would love to see some pics so we can get a good idea of the standard they are selling this fish at. I should recieve mine tomorrow or thursday and will post some pics then.

I would not order any live fish from them. Go with a better company that cares alot about their customers. For example.. liveaquaria or bluezooaquatics. I don't trust saltwaterfish.com..yeah my fish arrived alive but they were dead in less than three days. I couldn't contact SWF and didn't get my money back because I couldn't send any dead bodies back it would have cost me more than the fish themselfs. I put them in the QT..first night the first one died then the second one went two days after that. They ship the fish poorly..in clear plastic bags. I haven't had trouble with bluezoo or liveaquaria. Have you ever looked at SWF eye it & buy it..Their tanks are covered in algae..I saw an anemone on there..their carpet anemones mouth was all the way open. Their picture of a BTA is a bleached bta.. I can't believe anyone orders from them with all the bad rep they have. I didn't even know about their bad rep when I ordered from them. I wish I was warned...wait all I read was saltwaterfish.com..lol oh you already ordered from them..I hope you have better luck than I did.

I do not understand how it would have cost you more than the fish themselves to send them back. I had a clown die on me and I send it in two plastic ziplock bags with salt and cost me like 50 cents to send it. Was it a large fish that died? I have had great experiences with them. They also do not ship in clear plastic bags...well sort of. The bottom is black and the top is clear. Liveaquaria is a great choice though. Cant comment on the BTA's though as I stick to the fish.

I have heard of a lot of people getting lucky and getting beautiful picassos from them. I asked if I could get pictures of the actual fishes and they simply copied and pasted the message they had on their site with the stock picture. The only sentence I got was "The picture is an accurate depiction of the fish," or something along those lines.

So, I didn't order. Someone here got the pair I offered to pay for immediately, and they were gorgeous. Looked nothing like the stock photos.

You can come to your own conclusion I suppose

I bought mine from blue ribbon koi and marine. I called to order them and spoke w/ the owner for like 30 min about the marking on the fish, mine have done great its been about 4 mths and they have grown alot! Good luck w/ yours!

I have recieved a total of 6 picassos from SaltwaterFish with only one who died (first night). I have been surprised and happy with some of the patterns that my fish have. From what I heard they are now under new management (owners) and that their customer service is better now.

they are also one of the few high priority retailers for ORA. If you speak with the sales team they are usually very honest about availability and how fast a retailer will recieve stock from them. This is pretty cool if you're looking for a rare fish and the retailer has no ETA.

They have also revamp the site with much better customer awareness and customer service in the past few months to me awhole new company!!!

those are great looking picassos!!

I bought some stuff from them a while back. The things i did not like was the fact the you had to spend over 90.00 then they chargo you a processing fee. And the fish were tiny small. the shrimp were also tiny small and the snails were really really small. But some of the prices on the specials seem to be ok. Other than that i did not have a problem with the dying right away. Give it a try

Done and done, very pleased with the service and fish. May try them again in the future.

Yeah, I bought the cleaner pack from SWF.com. Several turbo snails died almost immediately, one emerald crab arrived dead, and several hermits have died. Was it their fault? Maybe not, and they came with heat packs and arrived the next day.
BUT, I don't like their misleading "free shipping". "Free" was after a 9 dollar processing charge and a 9 dollar fuel surcharge.
SO, their "free" delivery cost me 18 bucks! Still, not bad at all, but just very misleading and somewhat devious if you ask me.
Just be upfront with your costs, and you'll have happier customers.

The free shipping ad is misleading, but additional fees are not that uncommon. some companies will charge you for the box and handling and fuel after a $35 or $45 shipping fee.

I have had problems with customer service in the past. But I have had several orders come through that were quite nice. Stupid me, I ordered around christmas once and the package arrived a day late. But all the fish inside were still in good health.

I also just received a shipment from them and everything looks great. A couple of melanarus wrasses that seem healthy happy and eating. A haddon anemone that looks great. I can't complain. I have had bad shipments from or specimens from quite a few shippers. Things don't always live. I think that is a fact with this hobby.

But more to the topic, I have never bought their picassos, so I can't comment on that.
