I could sure use a hand on Saturday!
Last weekend, I was supposed to move a 180 gallon from a co-worker's house to my apartment but I had to put it off due to problems finishing the stand. I had plenty of help lined up for last Saturday but it turns out that 4 of the guys aren't available to help this Saturday. The tank has to go before the owner's wife blows a gasket (baby on board).
One of my friends is coming from Davie (near Davie Rd and Orange Dr) and I'm coming from Coconut Creek (Atlantic and Lyons) if you're willing to help but need a ride!
The tank is located a couple blocks off Commercial, east of the Intracoastal and I've got a cube truck for the move.
We've also built a cradle for the tank (think of a stretcher built out of 2x4s) so there won't be any need to try to hold slick glass while walking.
The plan is to move it from the island it sits on (next to his front door) on to the cradle,w hich will be sitting on sawhorses. Secure the tank to the cradle, then move it out the front door into the back of the cube truck.
Drive the cube truck to my apartment, back into a parking space in front of my apartment, move the cradle from the truck to the patio wall (waist high), then over the wall through the patio door into my living room, onto the sawhorses.
Then, from the cradle up onto the stand (30 inches high).
It shouldn't be TOO hard with 4 guys moving it and it should be a piece of cake with 6.
Anybody up for some fun?
