Anybody have a small tank I can borrow?

Hey everyone,

I need to seperate my new tangs from the rest of my system because they are bullying my new mystery wrasse.

So if anyone has an unused tank maybe 10-30 gallon that they don't mind selling, trading or loaning.I would appreciate it. I would need to borrow it for about 2 weeks.

I am also open to other ideas or solutions to my predicament.

Thanks

are you going try tricking them into thinking they are going into a new system. It will be interesting to see if it works. How smart is a Tang? I have plenty of rubbermaid containers of all sizes, but you probably want to be able to see them.

Yeah if you disorient them for a while they'll lose some agression. I've found that tangs are smart but have poor memory. I've caught the same tang two days in a row with the same fish trap. They look at it funny for a while but sooner or later they can't resist the algae and they swim into the trap.

Like you said, I'd rather be able to see them. If I can't borrow one, I'll probably just go pick up a tank at petco or something. Thanks though :)

I have a 10 gal or a 29 gal that just needs a quick silicone job on a crack. if interested I'm sure Mike will get them for you(I'm in Hawaii right now)

Hey jason, I've got a 55 gallon plexi with a built in wet dry that I've been trying to get rid of. It was a buddies tank for a couple of years, he was pretty inexperianced so there's lots of scratches(none too deep) making it a perfect canidate for a fuge, quarentine, or frag tank. PM if your interested, you can buy or borrow, whatever you want.

Jasson, my yellow tang is begining to nip at all my clams, zoos and corals so he will need to go. Hopefully my purple tang wont start doing that or he will have to go to. I do have a 10 gal tank that you can borrow. Its better to use a smaller tank so you can maintain the tempurature better with a small heater.

Jason. I have a 15 gallon with stand you can borrow. You can have it if you want. I can drop it off Thur. It also has a pc light.

I'll take it. I could pick it up as well. Let me know what works best for you. I haven't seen your tank so I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Thanks everyone else for the help

Jeff, you can't get enough of the Northcoast Reefers huh? Even in Hawaii you gotta make your daily stop on RC

Which island are you on? I lived on Oahu from 1997 - 2001

I'm in Oahu visiting my bro. He lives in millilani mauka (central).

Ive been busy trying out diff snorkeling spots, tommorow we are going to Hunama Bay.

Jason. PM sent. Hey Jeff, Hunama Bay is beautiful. Not too many corals but a lot of fish. Idols, Parrots, Tangs, etc. You will love it.

Hey Jeff dont you need a 40g or 55g?

Yes i do, Hey Jake is that tank accrylic?

Hunama Bay was awsome! Like you said Chris not much as corals go, but the fish and the size of the fish are amazing. It makes a show size fish in one of our tanks look like little babies.
But we did see a huge veriaty of fish and i will try to have Mike help me post some pics when i get back.
