Anybody have a tank at work?

My JBJ 28 gallon Nano is taking forever to come along (since July of last year) since you all convinced me to build a better stand... Well the stand is mostly done. We created a custom concrete countertop for it that I'm waiting for a little nicer weather to do a stain and several coats of sealer to it before I put a tank on it. But I gotta get back into the hobby, it's like crack...

So I was thinking about setting something up at work. Does anyone have a tank at work? How hard is it to do maintenance and stuff without your "normal" fish equipment at home? I was thinking about a 4 or 8 gallon AIO like the Aqueon Evolve or an IM Nuvo. Anybody have a preference? I have seen you can do some pretty nice mods to the Evolve to make it pretty nice. Also, has anyone seen one of these cheap? I know the Evolve is like 69 or 99 at PetCo, and I don't know a good price for an IM Nuvo. Any help you guys can give me into the world of these smaller tanks would be greatly appreciated. Coming from a 90G, this is like foreign territory to me.

Thanks,

Matt

i got a 9g at work and its easy. i only bring two buckets, salt, hose, mj1200, and refractometer for WC. i use a fresh razor and a magfloat for cleaning the glass. i have ro at work.

Did you test your TDS before deciding to use the water? I have RO at work too, and I don't know if it's good enough or not.

yes i got 6ppm, its not di but works for me. Im in charge of the RO. your ro at work is good enough unless you get 20 ppm or more which i doubt. Or you can carry your water to work, which i tried and it was not fun.

I used to keep one at work but I found it to be way too much of a hassle. Hauling water changes back and forth, testing equipment, dealing with evaporation, just wasn't worth it.

Yea that's what I'm worried about too. Does the pain in the *** maintenance out weigh the benefits of the tank at work.
