Anybody know how to get rid of .......

palythoas. I have these greenish ones that spread like crazy. I have tried scrubbing with a wire brush, toothbrush, running them under cold fresh water ................. they keep coming back. Any ideas? Thx.

Try a shot of Kalk or cover them so no light gets in.

How do I use a shot of kalk? Do you mean put some of the fresh made kalk mix (the water between the two layers) in a syringe and squirt it right on them?

yes, make a thick paste of the kalk mix and squirt it right into them. If you have a lot of palys, its tough to do though, especially if they are in crevices in the rock. I use an old salifert syringe and just cut it a little so the opening is thicker. Just be careful of any corals that may be below the palys your trying to inject, some kalk will probably fall and can burn/kill whats below it

On the serious side, I made the mixture a little thick and it actually laid right on top of the stalk after I applied it. What is nice is that I had some zoas and a deep water acro nearby - no victims of friendly fire!
