I am in the process of setting up a new tank.. a 93 gln cube. I was wondering if anybody still thinks biopellets are still good. seams like everything is going to gfo. The reactor i have i could run either. I would like to know what you prefer and what product you think works best. I know this is a big short cut but thats what forums are for.! right?

Bio-pellets are for nitrate and phosphate while GFO is for phosphates. I used bio-pellets on my last tank and I am planning to use them on my current build.

I'm still using BPs through my Aquamaxx reactor. I think I clean it every 6 months or so and add some BPs.
IMO, you don't see much on BPs anymore because I think the technology is maxed out.

I've been using them for a few years now and they have worked well for Nitrate control. As mentioned above, GFO is different and just targets phosphate.
