anybody use the canon s5is?

Just bought mine today at office depot, $299. Circuit City has it for $329 and there's an online coupon for 10% off on their website.

Haven't had a chance to play with it yet but will post some pics soon.

You guys are getting some great pics with the S5. I've been using the S3 IS for quite some time, and have been quite impressed by it, I'll have to post some pics I've taken with it later.

Is everyone pretty happy with those Raynox macro lenses? I'm seriously considering getting one as its hard to get good macro shots of stuff that is more than a couple inches from the camera...

I love both the Raynox 150 and 250 lenses. Must haves IMO.

Hi :)
Anyone heard of Buydig.com? They got pretty good prices!! Are they reputable?
Thanks!
Gemini :p

Never heard of them....I would rather buy from a reputable source unless I'm saving tons of money.

Not the best photog by any means, but I finally had a chance to take some pics today. First one came out the best.

It's a bit overexposed as the base is more beige than yellow. At least it's in focus.

Here's a FTS with actinics only:

Here's a FTS with the same lighting only wb adjusted:

I've gots lots of learnin' to do and need lots of practice.

Very nice tank you've got there.....did you use a Macro lens on that first shot?

Just a note....my daughter poured a whole cannister of fish food into my sump a few days ago and toasted my tank. Fortunately I have a frag tank up and running in my garage and I was able to get all my corals and fish out before any of them died.

I'm setting up an in-wall tank this weekend, so I figured I won't even set my old tank back up....so I won't have any pics to post for a while unless I take some of someone else's tank.

Thanks and no, no macro yet. I need to order them. My tank is 30" wide and that one is in the middle. I'm having problems getting things in focus in supermacro with manual focus.

I have the Canon G9 which is much the same as S5IS. I am thinking of getting the equivalent lenses for my camera. Are these lens telephoto or macro? Do you use the Digital Zoom setting of your camera while you are using the Raynox lens? Are your shots though the glass or top down? How far away from the subject are you when shotting with either of the Raynox lenses?

These lenses are both Macro lenses....I never use digital zoom when taking pictures. All of my shots are through the glass, and where the subject is located in my tank I may be right up against the glass, or up to a few feet away from the tank.
