Anybody want some freshwater fish?

I have:
1) 10" pleco. He's very healthy and prefers to eat wood, as opposed to algae wafers. I have a couple pieces I'd send along with him.
2) 2 striped Raphael Catfish about 4-4.5"
3) one clown pleco, about 2.5"
4) one Green Phantom pleco, about 4.5-5"
5) One tiger oscar about 5" long. He's very colorful. I shopped around for months before picking him, due to his nice coloring.

All would be free to club members, excapt for the green phantom and I'd like to get about $20 for him. Below is a pic that's very similar to what he looks like. He cost $45 new, and was quite a bit smaller.

Bluestarfish has already sent a PM and was interested in all of them, but if that changes, I will let you know.

The clown pleco is a chubby little guy last I saw him. He's pretty shy, but that may be because of the Oscar being in there.

James' tank #13 I guess. The Green Phantom is beautiful, I have seen it in person. you won't be disappointed.

I have reduced mine from 6 to 3, he's going the opposite direction.

Well after I moved my reef out of the 125g I needed to add something to it lol. Spencer I was wrong about losing one. I looked again and all are alive and accounted for. I still can't believe that everyone lived. It was atleast 45 minutes after the accident before I was able to get back to the car.. For those of you that don't know. I got run over by a semi coming home on the interstate and my car was totaled. The bucket with the 2 raphaels, clown and emerald got thrown and the fish were scattered through the car. the bucket with the oscar and big pleco only had about 2" of water but all the fish are settled in the tank now and look fine. All I know is it was one hell of a ride and luckily no one was too badly injured.

Joel, you can have the clown if you like. Just remember that the trip to get these fish is costing me a new car so take really good care of it. lol. You would obviously have to come and get it though seeing as I have no transportation.

I'm not surprised the raphaels made the time without water. I once had one get into a ceramic aquarium decoration, which I wanted to take from the tank. He wedged himself in there and so I propped the decoration up above the tank so if he started wiggling and wanted back in water, he'd fall into the water. 45 minutes later, he was still in there...gills moving the entire time. I am surprised that the others made it alive though.

Glad you two are ok though also. You still want the turtles if the wife doesn't find a home for them? I guess I'd have to make the trip myself this time and deliver. :)

BTW, I got the tank broken down and ready to move..soon as I find a buyer. If I can't find a buyer first, I'll must move it out of the way until then.

If you can't find a home and want to come check out the tanks then sure I'll give em a place. I'm actually gonna do a separate turtle setup if I end up with yours. It will give them more surface area as opposed to depth.

What kind of setup are you thinking about?

I have a few ideas I'm working on. one involve a kiddie pool I have and the other is one of those heavy duty rubbermaid containers thats 1.5' x 4' x 1.5' ish. I ue it to hold water when I move tanks. Either could go outside like a small pond until it get cold and then the rubbermaid could be set up inside. I have a few other things I'm working on also.

I have heard of people using the pools. You'd just have to be careful with it outside, because raccoons like to eat turtles. I once considered the big livestock containers like Tractor Supply carries. For the amount of water they hold, and the durability of lasting a lifetime, they're not bad at all. I have noticed that you really never see them for sale used.

James, so sorry to hear about your accident and grateful you weren't hurt. Hope you come out with a new car after insurance settlements!

Holy crap, sorry to hear about the accident! Glad to hear that everyone is alright.

Thanks for the offer for the CP, I'll contact you next week after the move - it sound's like the fish have experienced enough trauma for one week!

luckily I don't have raccoon problems here, though I do have some fencing I could use to be on the safe side

You only think you don't have a racoon problem!!! Those little Btards got my goldfish one night a few weeks ago, after having them for 3 years , I think they were just waiting for the fish to get big enough to make a family feast:uzi: Racoons:uzi:

Thanks you guys.
Joel, next week sounds good. I'm sure I'll be up to catching him by then. Right now jut trying to go around and feed everyone is killing me.

lol at using the machine guns on your raccoons. I actually prefer using the .308 on them.

James

Sorry to here that you sacrificed your car to transport the fish. I am glad that everything and everyone are ok.
