Anyone Breed Clownfish?

Well lets hope they see this then!

Thanks again for the Chaeto its helped my tank a lot. I had some traces of nitrate before, now its 0. It has also grown quite a bit since I put it in. Also found a real small blue mushroom inside the clump when I was adding it to my tank.

Great, glad to hear it helped. You got a good batch of microbial life from a mature reef which will help more than you know. Its the stuff you cant see that does the most good at times.good luck

I have Ocellaris babies. You'd need to pickup in Williamsport.Or if you can wait I'll be bringing a bunch to the TFP swap.

I breed them.. but lately only exotic hybrid clownfish (read high $$ fish) :-)

I have been breeding a hybrid between a Black Ocellaris and Onyx Perc, now known as Black Photon clownfish.

The experiments are continuing, and I have a recent batch of one of the Black Photon clownfish back crossed with the Onyx Perc mother. Still waiting to see how the colors play out on these.

I may have some for the swap in Lancaster.

sanjay.

The Black Photon clowns sell for $149 on Diver's Den. That is not that expensive for Sanjay's clowns if you are looking for a unique clown pair for your tank. I got a pair of C-quest clowns from Ocean Gallery II in NJ and they are amazing even at 1 & 1.5". They have alot of black on them. C-quest & Bill Addison were essentially the first to breed onyx clowns. Even Rod's clowns are bred from C-quest parents. If you go onyx, go C-quest.

Holy crap. $149 a pair? Man...I'm glad I got them off you from the ground floor Sanjay. So I guess I should be watching my pair for some eggs eh? Mine aren't misbars likes the ones on Diver's Den...I'm still not sold on Misbars.

BTW...That Fish Place sells a variety of unique tank bred clowns, but it's hit or miss of course.

Here is how mine are looking now.

Mine haven't gotten "dirty" yet, but I really like the colors they show..big difference between the male and female too..I'll have to break out the SLR tonight if I think of it.
