Anyone Else Have a Fish That Does This?

I have a white tailed bristletooth tang (Ctenochaetus flavicauda), that ALWAYS goes to the bathroom in one corner of the tank. He will swim from one end of the tank to the other, just to use his special corner. I have never seen a fish do this before. It reminds me of a cat with a litter box.

At first I thought it was just odd coincidence, but I've had this fish for almost a year now and he/she always does this. Anyone else have fish that does this?

lol, post a video, thats hilarious!

A bit off topic, but does the McDonalds in Davie still have a hitch post for horses?

Davie had extended quite a bit in the last 10 yrs or so so it depends which one your talking about, but if you mean the one on davie blvd in downtown davie, yes i believe it does but noone really uses anymore.

I have a sailfin that always used to take a dump on one corner of the tank, but now it has become a little more adventurous. In my old tank, I had a kole tang that would only poop in a cup coral, we would have to put extra current over the coral just to clear it out!

This is a funny thread!! When i had a blue tang(moved to a bigger tank now :) ) , I use to see it poop and then eat it all up right after and then swim around like he just ate some poopy energy pills hahahaha.Gross i know :)

My Kole Tang goes in the corner of my tank and deposits a load on a ricordia every time! At least he's nice about it and goes low to drop it instead of letting it get blown every where by flow...

My Lawnmower Blenny always does that when I come to the tank. Actually, he comes over to me, does his thing infront of me and swims away. Nice to have a fish that wants to sheeeat on you!? See if he gets a christmas card from me next year!

Wow, I thought it was odd, but I guess its pretty common. In over 15 years of keeping marine tanks I have never noticed any of my fish doing this consistently. Thanks for the replies!
