Anyone ever buy anything from this place?

Ray,
Cloakerpoked mentioned them in the FTS thread. I got their email from him. I was seriously thinking about taking a drive out there after the holidays.

Paul

sending you a pm about frag and bubble tip..:D

Yeah...let me get some pics of what I got from them and the prices...The guy apparently owned a retail store for several years, and it just didn't work out. Really neat guy (double amputee) and in my opinion a very worthwhile place. They have a ton more than is listed on the internet, so its worth a trip up to pick out everything in person rather than getting the stuff online.

Just so we're clear...to anyone who might read this...I'm NOT selling these, these are the prices I paid at Pattyscoral.

Blue Crocea Clam...$50

My mom and I both got about 8 or 10 frags from this guy and have had them for about a week and a half...no casualties so far. I'd highly recommend going to this place...it was 100% worth it.

I've bought corals from him before when I lived in Ohio. He is a good guy and knowledgeable in many areas. His name is Rich. His store lacked a good coral selection, and Youngstown is not the best place to have a coral shop. Nevertheless, his ebay listings look very nice, and reasonably priced.

The coral selection he has now is outstanding since he's doing it out of his basement and is specializing in corals only. I think he's kept his connections for the most part as far as wholesale is concerned, so now he's got a basement full of propogation tanks. The ebay selection they have online is mostly their softy and some of the larger LPS colonies...but he's got a lot of SPS and LPS corals.

According to Google maps it's 88 miles 1hr 48 mins. It's going to be next month for me. Christmas shopping has taken its toll on my reef funding...

I just bought a nice sized Crocea Clam from them for $50.
They have nice stuff. When I get some cash I'm going back.
As mentioned above, the majority of their corals are not listed on Ebay. They also said they may be starting a web site after the holidays.
