I have a 120 gallon with LR newly cycled with 2 bengali cardinals, a pajama, 2 ocellatus clowns, flame angle and diamond watchman. I'd like to get a McCosker's male and a female harem, but can't find any female at LFS or online. So I'm wondering if a male McCosker's and male Carpenter could co-exist and if they'd flash???

Attached are pics of aquascape. Fuge is 40 gallon with cheato and more crushed LR. The big rubble pule in tank is to help with copepods anticipating getting mandarins in a year

There may be some (likely non-deadly) aggression. With only 2, one will likely establish a dominance and flash much more than the other.

-- Coming from the experience of mixing a mccoskeri and lineopunctatus in a tank about half that size. Both fish equal size and added at same time.

LiveAquaria DD does carry mccoskeri harems from time to time btw.

I have a linespot, carpenters, and mccoskers in my 150g. They ignore each other.
