Anyone ever tried this?

I have the 700gph on my Oceanic 58g. I really like it. It takes up so little space in the tank(I mean it's really low profile, comes out maybe a couple of inches) and it's really quiet compared to my last tank that had a hang on overflow. The thing I noticed is that it's all about your return pump. At first I was using a 900gph Oceanrunner 3500. Even when I turned the pump down, I was still getting a lot of bubbles and more noise. When I switched over to a Mag 7 the bubbles lessened(I still get them, just not as bad) and the noise mostly went away(there's no way to make it dead silent, but it is what I'd consider quiet). I'm pretty happy with it. I painted my tank blue and I was even able to get them to make a blue one for me. Since I already had a hole drilled for a bulkhead they made mine custom to fit my needs.

I use the 700gph one on my oceanic 30g cube. It works great. I have a mag5 return pump on an scwd and it's almost dead silent. When I ordered it took about 4 days to receive my package.

If you want to save even more room in the tank, you can use a slim 90* fitting instead of the overflow box (like a durso through the back glass...).
