Just wondering since the calcium part seems to have other trace elements such as iron. I have a 29g biocube and getting hair algea but is more then likely due to other things (oyster feast, purple tech and probably too much feeding.
I don't think that B-ionic or most two parts are associated with algae problems.
Adding iron as a supplement, for example, does not usually spur microalgae noticeably in most reef tanks, although it does help many species of macroalgae. When I first added iron, the hair algae growing on the macroalgae declined and the macroalgae grew faster.
