Well last year we did it at Kevin's / itZme house.
Worked out real nice since he has a dedicated fish food processor.
But where ever we do it count me in.

Yo Kevin ,,, where are you ?? is it that time yet ?? i dont know what they used last time for the food , or how they split the cost . im sure Kevin will chime in here soon and fill us in . from what i heard the fish really like it .

Sounds like a good idea definately interestedI used to raise and breed discus and quality food was the most important factor in success.Used to make a frozen mix of fresh beef heart, spinach, shrimp, agar and vitamins.
What kitchen appliances were used to make the last batch and what was the mix for the last batch?

WOW,,, that caught on quicker than I thought..
There is alot of us ready to make food. I am geared up for the frag swap now but after that sounds good to me.

It's fairly easy to do... just put together an ingredient list, and everyone brings a few items.

Here's the list we used last year:

I think I can come up with all the ingredients but quantity would be hard to describe. It was a seat-of-the-pants operation :)

Squid
Oysters
Whiting Filets
Raw Shrimp
Octopus
Silversides
Scallops
Krill
Brine Shrimp
Daphnia
Mysis
Golden Pearls (all sizes)
Vita-Chem
Kent Garlic Extreme
Red Nori
Green Nori
Pure 100% Spirulina Flake
Naturose
DT's Phytoplankton
Formula One cubes
Formula Two cubes
Frozen Cyclopeeze
Prawn Roe

Think that does it. Did I forget anything?

The last time I'm made my frozen food, I went to the Asian food market and bought frozen shellfish, fish eggs (like roe) white fish, seaweed wrap (like nori). You can get Golden Pearls (all sizes)
and other stuff to add to the mix at http://www.kensfish.com/index.html
Depending on who you are feeding, adjust your mix ie-Bigger chunks for bigger fish, Veggies for tangs, smaller stuff for the reef.
There is no hard and fast rule on what you can add or how much.
When we got together and made the mix at Kevins, We all brought frozen foods and threw them into the mix.

Me too i made some before from shrimp scallops oysters clams nori spirulina and several other things cant remember what exactly but my fish went crazy over it. It was really easy i just put it in a blender and ground it up then froze it.
