Anyone has a deep knowledge about plumbig?

I'm finalizing my equipments list on my upgrade.
Anyone knows about proper plumbing? Like where gate valve should be for better gravity or control, how to be leak proof, which pvc glue to use etc.. if someone is setting up tank soon, I would be glad to go look, learn and help if I can

This is the glue I use I love it because it's clear and I like plumbing that looks clean. If you can spend the money go schedule 80 especially on valves they turn like butter to a hot knife. I only use true union valves, if they fail it's easy to replace. The more unions easy break down or replacement. This is just my own opinion.

It's pretty simple. Few tips for you
If you have never done it before, dont buy red hot glue it sets to quick.
clean your fittings, measure twice, dry fit the whole thing before you put it together. As for glueing the fittings any glue works as long as it is pvc glue or even cpvc will work avoid pvc to abs unless your glueing both plastics. You dont really have to prime if you really dont want to its not a high pressure system, all it does is soften and clean the pipe and without experience it makes a mess. Cut the pipe in a clean flush even cut even better if you can chamfer the edge this helps the flow in to the joint. a pipe only goes into the fitting the size of the pipe. Generally speaking the size of pipe in use goes into the fitting that length so 3/4 pipe goes in about 3/4. do a twisting motion when you glue your fittings, only add glue to one third of the beginning of your fitting and if like on the pipe, if you smother the whole thing you will end up with a glob of glue at the end of the pipe in the fitting. one you glue your fitting

I solder and glue all day so its not a big deal if the pipe has glue on it its in the wall. If you how ever want a clean look, and are not to sure if you do a clean fit. Knowing how much the pipe will go into the fitting you can add painters tape to the pipe so that when you glue you can take it off with out leaving a mess behind.

Glad to help. One thing I will add to what was said above is think about how you can make it come apart for maintaining equipment when need or if you have to move the tank.on some tanks that can be the hardest to figure out.
