I need to get my pair of clown fish out of my 100G tank. If you have one in SJ please let me know.. Thanks :)

Phong, I made an acrylic trap with sliding gate that I used to trap my old pair of gold strip maroon, and it got both of them in one shot in 10 minutes of time. I am in Cupertino though which is a little distance from you. Let me know if you want to borrow it.

You are good to go. ;)

Its very easy to trap clownfish. If your clownfish like to host in an area, use a clear aquarium specimen box and just use your hand to guide your clownfish in it. I've done this many times, and usually takes me less than 10 minutes.

everytime I put a fishnet into my tank (to catch the flame angel) my clownfish swim into the net =P they're dumb! or maybe they want out =X

That's very funny Ti :D .. I only have hook for Sturgeon.. They are kinda big

Thanks for the tip AI3. I will see if I have any clear aquarium box at home. They are hosting in 2 very big RBTAs. I'm afraid that I will damage the RBTA trying to get them out.

the nice thing about clownfish that host in something is that they'll always return there, giving you many chances to catch them. :)

and they are pretty crappy swimmers as well.

Phong,
I got one that I trapped a 6 in blue tang if you need it. Just let me know I can drop it off at your work next week.

Cool.. thanks dswong.. I will try AI3's suggestion first then tonggao's trap. If nothing work I will take yours :) .. Hopefully I won't :D ..

I used a 2 litre bottle with the neck cut off and inverted back so it looks like a crawdad trap.. I put a little food inside and they swam right in...

I'm trying to catch a potters angel now and he's a little smarter than my clowns were...

I got them out.. Got up early and scooped them out by hand :D .. I guess I don't need the trap anymore ... Thanks Guys!!!

Tonggao, I still want to check out your tank though :) ..
