Anyone have a carpet dryer?

All,

While I am not 100% sure it was my tank, i have some wet carpet been drying with a box fan, which is not cutting it.

Does anyone around boca have a air mover? One of those fans you can put under the carpet at a high air flow to dry out the pad and all?

If so let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it, and pay a rental fee for it.

If not I'll just go purchase one, but figured I'd give it a try here first.

Thanks,

Jeff

Well turned out not to be the tank, but much worse. I came home today and after I had everythign dried up a *buttload* of water was on the floor, much more then originally. Turns out my hot water heater is the culprit.

Thats actually good news. I hot water heater is much easier to replace than a fish tank, LOL:lolspin:

They make them tankless now. More efficient, and they take up way less space. Since you have to change it anyway, take a look.

They are space saving but they are not as efficient as they say. They also need to be replaced every couple years as they do not last more than 2 to 3 years.

That's something for me to look into, I had not heard either of those two claims before. I've been considering the swap to a tankless model, was just waiting for the old one to be done.

Most people don't know they don't have a great track record. My neighbor does plumbing and sells those setups on a daily basis. When I went and ask for one he told me don't waste your money. He said horrible track record.

Interesting. And no the fish tank would of been less damage since it would of been a slower leak, lol. I plan on moving but this is not the way I wanted to fix up the place before moving hahha
