Never seen a red-headed Goby. Any of you guys have pics of it? Would love to see it. Does it sift sand?

YOu can sometimes get them at Foster/Smith Live Aquaria. Gobies are good in peaceful tanks, are ich-resistent, generally good eaters with a few exceptions that have an exotic diet: [my rainford goby seems to subsist on red slime algae and caulerpa hair roots, for all I can figure.]

Red head goby and the green banded goby are very tiny gobies that seemly have no fear. They'll be the first to dart at the food, when you are cleaning, they seem to allow your hands to get very close before swimming away unlike some fishes that is in hiding as soon as the lid is opened. Durable as hell too, great for the nano, may easily get lost in a large tank but having a group on the bottom is pretty cool.

i was going to pull out my 6-line wrasse to make room for the goby. i bought the wrasse b/c i heard they eat flatworms. i had a handfull in the tank and the wrasse took care of them rather quickly. haven't seen any since, and it has been about 6 months.

if you have flatworms this is the fish for you

Redhead and greenbanded are not sifters as far as I can see, they are very tiny gobies. They are usually 1" to 1 1/2", and that's being generous.
