Anyone have a spare 250w mh socket and bulb to test a ballast?

I have two ballasts that I got with a fixture that I think may be bad.

I have them hooks to DE bulbs and they flicker for a second and then die. I wanted to see if anyone have a socket and bulb I can use for a test. The bob can be really old, doesn't matter as long as it fires. I can have it back to you in a day or two.

Thanks
Ray

If no one checks in with a DE, I have a mogel and a bulb you can try. It should still fire it.

Just pm'ed my cell. Maybe we can meet in Monroeville this week or something. Let me know.

I also have a spare you could borrow if you want. I'm headed out past Cranberry tomorrow and could meet you out that way or over in the Wexford area tomorrow afternoon. My interview is at 1PM, so I'd probably be through that way closer to 2:30 or 3 PM. I'll PM you my cell # and you can text me if you want to do anything along those lines.

Ray,
He had them plugged in when I got there......not fired up though.
He said he did try them to make sure they worked and he was letting the ballasts cool.
Hope everything is okay.

Ya, tomorrow office is open until noon, have a lunch meeting, but I could let you in and then have you go out the back way so I could lock the front door. But, the system will be on= hot, and the ballast may have to cool down to fire the bulb properly.

Ray - lunch got canceled so - we can just shut off my lights- go to lunch, then try your bulb. Office number= 724-934-0899

Ray - my patients switched around so , right now have no patients after 11. give me a call and I will switch off the ballast and let it cool , so when you get here we can just fire up your bulb.

Ted's fixture had a proprietary plug that I did not want to splice into, so we were unable to test. I may have to take Jesse or Nate up on their offer.

Just let me know. I can run to Monroeville or meet you some place any evening after 5.

Update: I stopped over Mike's house (captive reef) on my way home from work to pick up some corals and he had a light I could test with. Turns out the ballasts are fine, there was a sunlight supply adapter attached with wire nuts that was bad so all is good except I already ordered new ballasts thinking these had to be bad so if anyone wants them they would be $40 each.
