My son washed his and it was dead. I had him place it in the freezer for a couple days (less the battery). Then left it in a warm car yesterday. Now it is working again. Ether my freeze dried theory worked or we got lucky.
the batteries are made to "short out" when they get wet enough . i have had two that were submersed in water and we dried them out then bought new batteries and they worked fine .
thats the only thing i like about not having a verizon phone is that if mine breaks i just pull my sim card out and memory card and stick it in my old phone and have all my numbers and pics instantly and don't have to reactivate a phone again. my one phone got destroyed when i got stuck in the rain on the motorcycle when got home switched everything and had a phone again sucked i was out a good phone but least i had one right away and didn't lose any pics or numbers. i have saved another phone using the rice method though but the more you can take apart on the phone and put it in rice the better chance you have. good luck
Thanks for all the advice after I ordered one on Ebay last night I was going to put the old phone in the freezer like cvevery said and tried it one more time and IT WORKS.
