anyone have any problems keeping a cleaner wrasse ??

gotta love saltwater.....
i picked one up at Best in pets for 9 bucks yesterday, put her in my tank and every fish i had started to line up from the chromis to tangs and everyone in between , where ever the wrasse goes, most every fish i have follows her . my orange shoulder will lay down horizontal in the water and just sit there for her. after i got her home i did some reading on them and read that they don't live long at all . she eats like a pig flake, brine, krill, and pellets . just wondering if anyone has kept one for any length of time. as good as she eats i would suspect that she will be around for awhile. i hope she will. shes cool to watch do her thing in the tank . and the other fish seem to groove on her

I have heard and read the same thing about not doing to well in captivity although I havent owned on personally. Keep us posted, if things go well I wouldnt mind adding one to the tank.

I had one...it only lasted a week. There were no parasites on my fish for it to eat, so it died from malnutrition...even though it was eating flakes and brine shrimp. Good luck!

my clowns and scooter will have nothing to do with her at all ...but the rest of the tank is way ok with it . my Coral Beauty would never let anything around her at all . now she is all over this wrasse ,,sorta comical to watch ,,, gran kids swing needs waterproofed and set up , car needs washed , pear trees need pruned ,,,,, and im sitting here watching this fish ,,,i need counseling

I have seen them wrasses cause problems too.
joe22883 had one for like 3yrs then one day it started picking at all of his clams.(he almost lost the clams because the wrasse keep picking on them)
