Anyone have corals growing on their clams?

My Hippopus has some zoos encroaching on his spot and I can't see any reason why it would be anything but harmful/irritating to it. So I'm just gonna scrape the zoos back when neccesary.

Any thoughts on this? And does anybody have anything(corals) growing on their clams with no ill effects?

Look up a user called marinaP. Her avatar is a picture of a clam with some sort of turbinaria coral grown completely around it.

clams are mostly immune or unaffected by corals, this includes sweepers, direct contact and chemical warfare. the only real thing to worry about is the corals shading the clams and i dont see zoos doing that.

I've had both zoanthids and mushrooms grow on the sides of my clams. They cause the clam no harm, though my experience was that if the zoanthids got high enough up against the mantle, the clam seemed irritated. That is when I took action and pulled off the top few rows of zoanthids.

this squamosa is covered in mushrooms and xenia. Doesn't seem to bother it at all.
