Anyone have Tunze DOC Skimmate Pics

I dont like how my tunze 9010 is operating. many people say how much they love their DOC skimmer but i dont get it. can someone please post some pics of their tunze skimmers in action and the skimmate it produced? maybe a top down with the lid off?

mine is pulling very little tea colored skimmate and im not happy with it. its hooked up right and assembled right so thats not the problem. i dont need advice how to hook it up, i just want to see a tunze in action how its supposed to look.

I wish I could help you but I am just as frustrated with mine. Everybody recomends Tunze and I bought this skimmer based on thier reputaion... and now I wish I had an ASM Mini G... I love both of my G-2's

i only have only 4 fish and one shrimp in my 120g so far and it produces nice brown skimmate

i have the 9010

i turned the blue air thingie so that it skims more wet

if its brand new, give it a few days to break in and keep your hands out of the collecting cups neck...supposively the grease from your hands doesnt help things

Mine has been skimming a fair amount of dark green skimmate that also contains solids brought up by the foam. It did take a couple of days to dial it in from a very wet collection to more foam. You may need to take the collection cup off and take the top off to be sure the pump tubing inside is properly connected. You could also post this on the Tunze threads to get some feedback from Roger. He seems to be very helpful. Good luck.
