Anyone hear the news?

I read that and thought for a moment you were serious lol...

It's always a bummer to see small businesses go under, but hopefully it's for the best as far as the long term future of those involved. Sometimes it's just best to know when to say when and take on new endeavors.

I was there on maybe Thursday and the corals were pretty picked over. There was still some nice stuff there. Quite a bit of dry goods still there as well

Owning and running a small business is really challenging. The reason any business goes under is simply not enough revenue to cover expenses. It's very difficult in a retail environment ( I owned a restaurant) The slow days are the real killer. I would guess that store had an easy $500 a day in expenses and when you have too many days of revenue below that it's like a body blow. Even a few profitable days don't make up for a few unprofitable days.

It's really sad because the more like businesses you have in an area the more clientel developes for all like businesses. Most if not all small business owners don't understand this. I always refer to the shopping Mall concept, but most business owners want to be the only option and as you know the consumer wants multiple options.

That's funny. After the day I stood in front of jofish with closed doors I went to fishpros after. I told Jason about them closing and their display tank. He said he'd go down there to check out the display tank which he did LOL.
