Anyone here do much fishing?

Just curious if anyones been out yet fishing. I have Friday off from work and I think I'm going to go out the first time this year. They were hammering the walleyes up here pretty good below the damn but now the river came up like 4' so it ain't worth a crap. Might try hitting a few lakes for some crappies and bluegills.

I have a friend that sent me some pics of a NICE walleye he caught down by CR. 25" and like 3.5 lbs or something. Pretty nice.

Just curious if anyones had any luck yet If so where at and what were they hitting on?

went to Gavin's point dam in Yankton SD last weekend and the walley were bitting like no other. had our limit in no time.

I like to fish, only thing i usually catch is a wicked buzz. Need to go get my licence, maybe ill do a little this weekend.

Crappies were hitting at a gravel pit near Des Moines before the heavy rain last week. That somewhat slowed them down as the water level went up. I would think with this weeks warm weather they should turn back on.

They were slaughtering the walleyes up here on the river before we got all the rain and the river came way up.

I'm not sure where we're going to go but hoping the nice weather this week will help bring them out a little bit.

Tons but mosty Bass or catfish. It going to be a while still before that heats up. Water is still a little cold.

I've done tons of catfishing! I'm kinda starting to get more into the walleye and crappies now though. Nothing like hooking nice crappie on 2lb test line!

Or even better I usually fish with 2 poles I usually throw stink bait on 1 and let it sit on the bottom while I jig the area around it. That pole I have like 20lb test on it. Of course which pole does the 5lb cat hit. THE ULTRALIGHT! It took me 45 minutes to get it in the boat and it was probably only 20ft. out. That was probably one of the funnest fish I've ever caught.

I have Friday off from work and that's when i was planning on going of course now they're talking rain!

My Dad caught a 5lbs catfish on one of those zebco utlralight rig while fishing for crappie too. It took him like 45mins too.
