If I ever get around to getting my tank up again I might do an inwall but the viewing wall would have to be the common wall with the garage, meaning that the tank, stand and sump would be located in the garage. Has anyone local done this and how bad was it fighting the heat/cold? thanks

i have 300g of sumnp in the garage.....its not the cold but heat thats tough. I wrapped insulation around my sumps and or pink insulation. I havent had any issues once that was done.

I have my tank against the wall to the garage. I plumbed my 55g fuge through the wall in the garage. I would agree with Paul that heat is the bigger issue. A 300watt titanium heater is plenty for the very coldest days (plus it's plumbed into the 120 in the living room). But mine requires a chiller in the summer to keep the system under 80 degrees. With the chiller/heater combo, my tank and fuge (in the garage) both stay at about 77 degrees year yound.
