Anyone in our club has done the MJ Mod

Here are some quick snaps. I'm using the 2035 propeller of Octura on my 900. I'll try to trim off the edge to see if it makes any different.

The 2035 Octura is a bit much for a MJ900. Some can spin it while some can't. You're better off using a 1435 instead.

For a MJ1200 use a 1.75" Dumas for maximum flow output.

Yep. Either CF for stainless steel rods would wokr. Stainless steel is smoother and will offer less resistance and vibration. But CF is easier to work with.

If you buy everything, why not having someone do it for you??
There is no more fun buying everything pre-made :D ..

If you need help making the shroud using the 1.5" pipe, I can help you out. I use the regular PVC 40 not 80.

Did you guys use any washer? There is a small gap between the PVC and the old washer. Would this cause effect the mod in any way since the spin of the propeller could create some vibation?

If you use 1.5" SCH80 pipe you won't need the O-ring as it is a perfect fit. Infact you would need to remove the exiwsting MJ O-ring in order to fit the shroud.

And yes that small gap will cause the shroud to be off centered and cause excessive noise and vibration.
