anyone interested a trade my fresh water plants for your coral

You probably don't need the 50/50 bulb.. I'd mix 10k with 6.5k if you wanted different spectrums.. It really brings out the greens...

Hmm, this thread is making me want to convert my 6g nano (that only has a sad little rock of GSP, a few shrooms, and two snails) at work to a planted tank now. :D

lol, im just going to have a reef tank and a freshwater planted pico, when i get this baby setup, ill start to PM some of you so i can get some cool plants (im guessing that this tank will fill up fast) then add a neon tetra or 2

ianaiwane is actually a recruiter, trying to recruit some of us from the dark side of reefing :) don't fall for it fellow reefers! LOL :)

If I can give Ian more frags than he gives me plants, then the reefers win!

I think... haha :)

That's dpend on how you define plants and frags! the carpet of HC alone has hundreds of leaves verus # of polyp of zoa; am I right?

hehehe :D

I say we all go to sign up at www.sfbaaps.org and then place an ad just like ianiwane did asking for a trade :)

Let's entice them with a cute little nemo and a small anemone (that's how I got pulled into this hobby) :)

hehehe :D

If you are going to compare like that then you need to compare it with GSP not zoa :D ..

LOL... good one! I got pull into the hobby by force! My uncle inlaw retired and he doesn't want to break down his saltwater tank so he gave it to me with just fish and some live rock. Since then I added some okay corals; still getting my feet wet! :D

LOL, that sounds like a good plan. There are some former reefers there so you may get them interested again.

I think zoas would be more akin to downoi.. Some places are selling them for $15 a plantlet but if you are in the know they can be had for $3.. hehehhe
