anyone into birds?

Heyas all.. Just thought I'd put his out there.. My cousin has a Cockatoo that he wants to sell. I'm not sure on the price, but I know he his more interested in getting it into a good home. He just doesnt have the time to give it the attention it deserves. It's 15-20 years old, white, and Very loveable (once its out of his cage). Toss me a PM if there's any interest.

I love birds. I used to want a senegal parrot really bad. Really wanted a Timneh Grey too.

I wanted to get one a while back, but my wife was against that even more than she was against my aquarium hobby. Then again, she did end up with 2 large tanks at home...

How good would he be in a house with three cats (one a near fat-free 15 lbs. Manx kitty)?

I'm not sure other then its a Cockatoo.. a H U G E white thing with a yellow crown.. but I'll ask for more detail ( if he knows ) and relay it.

If its got a yellow crest its probably a sulpher crested....Too bad I live so far away....they are nice birds.

Good chance. I almost bought a lesser sulphur-crested a few years back when I worked at Petco. He was adorable. My black-headed caique is enough for right now though!

I was gonna post earlier in reply to someone asking about cats and birds....

We have 4 parrots, 2 cats, 8 dogs...(and numerous fish tanks) and as long as you don't have unsupervised out of cage time with the bird...things usually go ok.

Especially after a couple of toes get pinched by the bird! LOL
