Anyone know anything about Fish Lukemia?

Newest Update as of 9am this morning....

They are sending him across the street at some point today for evaluation by the Ear, Nose and Throat specialists. They will determine whether or not they remove a lymph node by surgery or do another needle biopsy with ultrasound. If they determine he needs surgery, that would be done on Tuesday.

They are also testing him for Cat Scratch Fever on the advice of an M.D. friend of our's.

He had a team of 8 doctors visit with him this morning and they said they will not be releasing him from the hospital until they nail down a diagnosis.

That's all we know for now.

Thanks Hun, Didn't think I would be able to get on this soon today.

In lieu of flowers the reefnecks request that you make zoanthid & ricordia donations to the Display tank in the living room.

Also, Needed items are aquapod for hospital room and Crown Royal for the patient.

I hope everyone else is doing great and if this does turn out to be a Marine Bacteria then I will expect a rush on orders for shoulder length gloves for every aquarist. Aquatic Bacteria can be gotten from freshwater tanks as well as saltwater tanks and until my condition is resolved I want to advise the use of gloves (Full arm) to everyone. Nobody needs/wants to go through this. It's not only a PITA being in here so long but it's also just downright painful.

(Crown Royal just doesn't do a thing for me) LOL!

While that may be true I bet she would set a new world record for emptying a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream if she had one though. lmao

Hey Keri, was good seeing and chatting with you for a few Friday evening. I tried to stop in Saturday too, but was not able to get away, we worked from 7:00am to 9:30pm out in the darn garages so I could not make it to your room... Looked like you were having just TOO much fun sitting there doing absolutely nothing.. Let me/us know what they find...

WHEN/WHERE??? I'm SO there!!! lol

Glad you still have your sense of humor keri! Now when you get home, you just need to go ahead and stock the bar with baileys, Crown, and I believe you mentioned tequila once before :) Hope your tests go well today.

4:45pm Update

Keri had tests done by ENT earlier and I guess waiting on results. They've ordered the needle biopsy (with ultrasound) but haven't performed it yet and a couple of the docs are still pushing for the surgery (I guess they all want a piece of him for examination). The head guy in Infectious Disease Dept requested that Keri be moved to his wing (on the 7th Floor too) as a precaution. ROOM # 707

Please note: If any of you plan on going to visit with him, you will be able to get into see him, but you will be asked to wear a face mask while in that ward/unit.
ADULTS ONLY... NO CHILDREN.

Yea, What she said.

I now have my own, Private room. :D And my go wherever I want (outside, Coffee Shop) privledges have been revoked. They still have no idea what is wrong with me but now decide I "might" be a danger to others.

I have had these swollen lymph nodes for 3 months. If I was a danger to others I am sure that my wife and kids would have it by now. We all kiss and hug alot.

So now I am in solitary confinement and still no clue what I have.

Dang, well I hope they get an idea of whats going on soon! Does anyone live close enough to shands to sneak that man some coffee?!

This morning's update:

Keri is scheduled for surgery at some point today for lymph node(s) removal. There is 1 patient ahead of him and that surgery could take many hours, so we don't know exactly what time Keri's will be done and that means he's fasting for the day (which is making him grumpy :mixed: )

They are still running a variety of other tests on him too and awaiting results. Various doctors have various opinions as to what he may have, so we're hoping for a diagnosis soon. They are also scheduling him for a full CATscan and a PETscan most likely for tomorrow or the next day. (he wants to take our pet cat "Elvis" in with him for those :rolleye1: )

My diagnosis >>>> cabin fever for sure!!!!

I just talked to Keri, even with the waiting & the cabin fever he still has his sense of humor. He' s said he's looking forward to the pet scan & the cat scan. He thought it was cool that he could bring his "pet" with him.

Yea, WooHoo! I have decided to bring "Elvis" in for the petscan. He's my 15 year old Solid White persian with one green eye and one blue eye. And since he is a "Cat" he can stay for the catscan too. :)

Anyway, Still waiting for the "call" to go to OR. May pack up my laptop soon to be put away for security.

Man I want something to drink.
