Anyone know where to get Tang Heaven?

I want to grow tang heaven in my fuge or even in the display. Any one have some they would like to sell or get rid of... or know where I can get some?

Good luck trying to grow it though. I tried once, even set up a 20 gallon just for that purpose, and couldn't get it to grow, or stay alive for that long for that matter.

Stuff is great though, fish do love it. Hope you have better luck than I did.
(FWIW, even my LFS said they couldn't seem to keep it for any extended amount of time...)

Any special lighting for this? I bought some and my fish like this stuff more than my NORI.

If you want to grow that stuff, the key is high flow. Enough to keep it tumbling constantly.

IPSF sells it but it's SOO expensive there. I think just because you rename Hawaiian Ogo as "Tang Heaven" you shouldnt sell it for $40 a bag. I bought some a couple months back and tangs do love the stuff but I didnt realize it's just the same Ogo that you can buy for $5/bag. Coral Oasis had a bunch about a month ago. Not sure if they still have some. I have it growing (or at least staying alive) in my sump.

I think that stuff is known as Red Ogo.

I could never get it to stay alive.

Im going to give a try, It will be so cool if I can get this stuff to grow. Really healthy stuff for the fish.

i think www.fishsupply.com carries it in the huntington beach store. also sometimes the aquarium in culver city has it.
