Roger, which tank are you going to try it on? I wondered if they could do well in sps only tank. I like the size and look. When you install can I stop by and see it?

I installed the 360w today now I just have to figure out how to code it for the apex.

Big Z anytime u want to come check it out lmk.

I am DEMANDING a review of this product! ;)

Honestly I have looked at these light several times, but question the effectiveness. It would be nice to get a couple reports, say 1 month 3 month 6 month?

Lol Roger isn't using it for growth, he gets plenty of growth with a single metal halide over a 120g tank which I think is crazy but it works, more than likely he'll be using it for extra lighting in shaded areas or to spotlight a coral, hopefully everything will blend in.

Any pics??

Will try to get some tomorrow.

I will keep this thread posted on what I think.

Just curious, Roger what is your mh setup over your 120g sps tank?

It is just a single 250w MH 20k radium bulb. Hung high up for more spread.

Predro u r correct for now I have it on right side only. If I like it I will get a second for the left side of the tank. If i really like it I may take down the halide for a few month to see how they do as stand alone. I personally beleive these will be the closest thing to a halide in led lighting that is why I wanted to try them.

Pedro the blend was easy to do with the adjustments it has. If manual then one nob controls the color u want how blue how white. Then the second nob controls intensity.

I currently have it ramping up and down on the apex. So I need to find that % number I found manually.

here r the pic requested.

the right side of the tank only has the Kessil on it. u can see the ripples from it on the back wall of the tank. the MH is in the middle. I was able to match the color pretty easy manually. when I turn the intensity up it blends even better but I didn't want to burn the corals on that side so its on about 50% in the pic

Looks great. They are more intense than they appear. I think they are the closet thing to MH that I have seen and they do a great job blending the color.

Dude!! That's awesome, guess going to the swfmas conference was a good thing

Don't ditch the metal halide, I'm thinking of going metal halide for my future tank Lol.

See it's things like that make me think I should just run a 2x150w MH light over my 75g. That Kessil looks killer btw.
