never transfer that into your DT, if the bacteria is resistance to Cipro and you add that nem into the DT you only adding the bacteria into your DT.

as of late, i am not sure if the cipro for fish is either not potent enuf or these gigs are pre-treated with cipro, the treatment has not been very successful. it is very frustrating.

I m planning to have the gig sits in the QT tank and monitor its progress. At this time, I m not sure what went wrong. The gig was doing fine from day 1 untill day 4. There was sign of stress but it soon recovered after day 4. End of day 5 and 6 didn't look good.

Looks good. Bleaching is normal during Cipro treatment. Once it's healthy, the color will come back.

This green looks healthier than any of the previous ones. I thought all of the previous three looked to be sick. This one looks about as good as a fresh import can look IMO.

I got the blue gig. currently in my QT getting Cipro treatment. it looks ok for fresh shipment, definitely needs a round of treatment

I saw them when they first came in. Was very tempted to get one myself. I'm out of real estate on my rocks. Hopefully a small haddoni comes in.

small neon green Haddoni are fairly easy to find. Someone in socal forum has been trying to sell a red haddoni for awhile. that haddoni somehow stayed small over the years and never grew big.

I saw them when they first came in. Was very tempted to get one myself. I'm out of real estate on my rocks. Hopefully a small haddoni comes in.

you dont need to put it on rocks... my blue have been in a "cup" for almost 6 years(4 in 185 and 2 in 300) never leave the cup. in the 300 i had magnet glue to the cup so i can move it up and down. when i move it to the 300, it might be 6" when open, i have it half way up on the backwall. now i have to move it almost all the way to the bottom since it's 12"+ very close to touch some of my sps. you can move the cup almost anywhere as long as that location have good flow and light.

Updates on day 7
. It has been 7 days since I treat the green gig.
. Current condition: gig is not deflated and still reside in the QT set up.
. Water is changed 100% daily.

My plan is leaving it in the QT set up for now. Not sure what to do next, but I will improvise as things go along. Any recommendations is appreciated .

If the mouth is tight, and it's not expelling anything, you can stop treatment. Leave it in the QT tank for at least another week. Don't feed anything and you can stop nightly water changes.If you see ammonia starting to rise, do water changes to bring it back down.
