Anyone looking for Tangs or other fish?

If anyone is interested, I know that Rhett (commonstranger) has some nice new stock that he just got in. He has Achilles tangs, yellow tang, orange shoulder tangs, Naso tangs, a reef safe blue jaw trigger, Fisher's Angels, and a few others.

I think Rhett causes ich! Every time he gets beautiful fish he want to sale my tank has ich so I have to pass. The only other possibility is that I just have ich all the time, but I would rather blame Rhett even though I have never put one of his fish in my tank.

My opinion ich is in about every tank out here. (For the most part) Its just is your fish in good enough health to fight it off. Of course anything that stresses your fish out will make it more prone to any diseases.

This is true!!! It's really up to you to keep up your fish's health. Quality of food you feed is very important!!!

not to jack your thread, but food suggestions??? what ever happent to what does not kill you will make you stronger?

For example youd always want to feed mysis over brine shrimp because there is so much more protein in mysis over brine. Of course fish love brine but its not as good for them. You can also soak some of your food in garlic juice every so often. Remember garlic is the same for fish or people a little goes a long ways.

Ill help in the HIjack....I fed my fish a strict diet of Formula 2 flake. Never saw a ICK in my tank. NEVER. I dont remember the last time I saw it in one of my tanks. This is even after the powder brown got caught up in the overflow and I dug him out with my fingers. he had a severe wound on his side and was missing a pectoral fin. Never saw ICK on that fish.

That is not to saw that the forzen is bad, but in my experience i have always done well with flake. I also fed Cyclopeze mixed with a Emerald Entree frozen every once in a while. THe cyclopeze is full of protien too. I fed it to a clows that was withering away and very skinny and it fattened it up very quickly. But for me, if it dont eat flake, it will not belong in my tank. those foods are engineered alot like your dog and cat foods.

If you use the logic that mother nature knows best, There is No flake food in the ocean and those Fish are very large and very healthy. So I say the best foods are the ones closest to natural foods they get in nature. JMO

Didnt say that Mother nature was not best. But IMHO flake is better than some of hte premade frozen stuffs you can buy.

The best way is go to the market and buy some to make them yourself. Angela brought me some more not long ago, she makes them herself. How is she anyway, I don't see her on the board at all..... Natural food is VERY important, here's an example: When my Naso tang was ill to the point I give him less then 24hrs to live. I fed him frozen garlic food and that perk him up and it took me a few weeks to make him healthy. I've told this story too many times so I'm cutting it short...lol.... Anyway, he was looking very dull until I give him some algae sheets. That very night he got his colors back and started to look good again. They need something specific that they can get out in the wild.

Here is the Eco-Bak thread, And The Food list i forgot all about Duh.
If you go to the Asain Market and get small amounts of all the different saefood they have avaiable, Clams,Squid, Shrimp,Mussels.Crab,fish,Lobster Etc and then get things like Nori, Dried Mysis,Liquid foods and additives plus Fresh Garlic and really anything you can think of that your fish will eat then blend it carefully to not make mush but chop it small enough to be eaten by even the smallest fish there you have it! You can add or delete any thing you want as long as it will chop up in a blender or food processor. Then just make small frezzer bags full about 1/2" thick and freze them for future use.

He does have them for sale Coachtjm. I will get some prices from him. I don't think he can post them directly, but I don't mind passing the info along. And yes, as Bart said, he has a nice Blue sticky carpet anemone.
