Did you order a custom layout? I have no ideal what to get...Im a noob when it comes to leds...Matter of fact Im a noob to reef tanks.....lolol

Interesting idea, I like it but would rather opted for LED strips and not LED panels. 4 t5s and 2 led panels would be perfect for my tank, the LED panels would be pure blue with UV with the UV's on seperate channel from the blues.

Yeah I had a custom layout first generation d120... The original 400mm leds a'll blacked/burned out so I got 420s and replaced the old ones while swapping out 2 others

Ok I found this d120 lay out on ebay for $132 and includes free shiping....What do you think about this lay out?

Will I am ready to place order. After some research and reading this is what I came up with.
On the top is my current configuration which is a 1 white to 1 blue ratio. Future configuration is on the bottom left hand side and factory Reef breeder configuration is on the bottom right.
I will take pics and document. I am only ordering one for testing and to compare. This is my last attempt to make this d120 work before I switch back to t5/mh or add t5 to current setup.

Well I am sad to say the custom reef breeder panel I ordered did not work. I did ask if the panels are the same as the d120 from evergrow and was told it would work. Well here are the pictures to show you what I mean.
Here is the ReefBreeder Panel.
I must admit their panel is great and comes with a nice size heat sink.
But this is were the 2 problems comes in. #1 The reefbreeder panel LED's are spread out more than the evergrow D120.
The other part is the screws do not line up.
The plus side is that the power plugs are the same.
unfortunately, like Roger I found that the UV and the 420nm are burnt out so this might be one of the reasons way my SPS colors are off from the MH I had before. Good part is that Sunny from evergrow is sending me replacements.
All of this being said I am going back to MH and T5. But I will replace Burnt LEDs first and give that a try for a month. Sad part is I am out $50 for Panel. I am so Happy I only got one to test with first and not all four. I wish I could trade in panel for some blue LEDS and addition to additional UV. I hope this write up saves some one money and time.

We requested the old D120 board, I was not aware that they had sent the wrong one. Send the board back, and we will issue a full refund right away.
Here's an update. I have exchanged emails with reefbreeders and sent panel back. So happy I am not $50 short. Good news is that he was able to get the old panels but it is still sometime away. At this time I am starting my search to go back to mh as it has been over a month since post. Reefbreeders has great customer service and offered to refund which I took. Colors on sps are still week and nothing like mh. I did notice on one unit that I replaced the burnt out UV LEDs better color on my rad cap and tri color as well as red dragon. So a better layout might be of help. Should I still attempt panel swap?
