Anyone need a mangrove? Free

I'm doing some rearranging of my system and need to thin out my mangroves. They are well established with many leaves and lots of roots (i.e. they won't fit in a small area). They are at least 14-16" tall, probably closer to 20". I'll see if I can get a picture of them to show.

I have 16 of them and want to keep 4-8 of them, so I have 8-12 to give away.

They are free of charge, but need to be picked up at my house. I would prefer to limit it to 1-2 per person, but if there isn't much interest I'd be willing to give more to those who do want them.

How far from Meridan are you. I am picking up a cuc there on Tues. I would love to try some mangroves and those one are beautiful and well established with isnt always easy to find.

I'm not sure how far. My zip is 06423, but add about 10 minutes on to the drive time due to where my house is in that zip.

Yeah I went to kieths house my gps asked if I would use unpaved roads don't do it took me right to a ditch I wouldn't have even took a 4x4 through it.

I get bored quickly, LOL.

I made my frag tank into a mud bed for the mangroves. They will be more showcased with the new set up. My tank had a very, very bad summer. I lost 100% of my acro's and monti's. Not sure exactly what happened, but it wasn't good. I'm going to take this time to rearrange everything for the millionith time, do lots and lots of water changes, upgrade to my new LED's, add on a calcium reactor so hopefully I can get my tank to where I will just leave it alone!!!

No problem. Are you going to the meeting tomorrow? I am going to try to bring some there for a few other people, but I have to work in the morning so I'm not 100% sure if I can bring them to work.

While mangroves are very neat, they don't tend to pull out as much nutrients as macroalgae will. It certainly won't make the skimmer obsolete.

Also I forgot to mention that mangroves will pull magnesium from your water, so make sure you monitor your mg levels to make sure they don't get depleted.
