anyone recharge their GFO here?

I've read people doing this elsewhere, but I do not have the chemist background to do this... anyone tried or have experience?

im going to do it after i run out of gfo. you just use lye and ro water in a plastic container and mix the gfo around for a couple days. i tried the brs reactor with the lye and it turned my gfo to mush and destroyed my impeller on my mj1200

I'm from down state a bit but I have done it multiple times and has always worked great PM me and I can give you details it very easy. Di resin is also very easy to regenerate

I'm dealing with a phosphate issue and buying high capacity GFO is getting pricey

In the same boat. Haven't recharged any yet, but went to Lanthanum Chloride for the cost savings. Little pita to dose though.
