Anyone run Algae Scrubber on Sps tank?

Just like the title says. I want to see how many people a running scrubbers on their Sps dominant tanks. Are you running just a scrubber or with another type of nutrient removal method?

He is actually shutting it down :(
Last time I spoke to him he had gone more and more to the natural filtration (scrubber/macro) and just let it run, with 2 big *** skimmers and regular WC's.

Its an awesome tank to stand in front of.

aw really? That's a shame. I"ve upgraded to a 5 gal now, but I prefer biopellets and bacteria dosing with a skimmer, I do have a small ATS but it doesn't grow much.

I had a very good ats setup running on my 210gal that did an excellent job of controlling NO3/PO4. I decided to ditch it in favor of vodka dosing though as the ats was kinda of a pain to clean and it costs more than dosing vodka (I was running four 23w cfl bulbs plus a rio pump on it = too much electricity).

Another reefer from South Africa here.

I am running a scrubber on a sps system alongside a reef octo xs 160 skimmer.
I also have about 1 liter of matrix in a reactor.

The tank is still fairly young but I have attached a few photos.

I run zeo rocks in reactor, dose fauna marin which is also a carbon dosing system. But I also have a ton of chaeto in the sump the chaeto grows well with a 150 watt sodium vapor bulb, which has about a par of 3000. Phos generally below .03, often .01. I try to keep nitrate 2-5 I have to add sodium nitrate sometimes. I remove some chaeto about once a month. Three yrs growth on below picture.
