Anyone running carbon in their SH tanks??

I'm thinking of running carbon either through a bag or media reactor to help clear up my water in the the tank. Will this pose any problems for the ponies, or should t be OK?? TIA

I have run carbon in my SH tanks for years and have not noticed any ill effects. I have it in a bag in my sump and replace it every two weeks.

we run chemi-pure in our SH setups w/no trouble.

don't use the chemi-pure elite, however, as the phosphate remover it uses has been known to irritate the gills of fish having closed opercula.
