Anyone see or hear of a clown hosting a condy?

I clown will never host a condy, but there is a chance that a condy will host a clown. ;)

Many years ago my clarkii pair was hosted by a Condy. But, I have also heard of Condies eating clowns, so IMO it isn't worth it.

I had a clarkii pair that hosted a condi. Traded the pair for a pair of true percs. They don't host anything, I knoticed them sleeping in one of the corners. So I put the rock with my condi there and now they sleep above it making sure they don't touch it, I even put a rbta in the tank but to no avail .

:D. I love it when people use correct terminology.

I have personally seen Clarkii's, tomato's and maroons take to a condy. Just be aware, as this can happen even with natural host anemones, that there is a rick that the anemone may someday eat the clownfihs.

Iv had about three condys and Hitians Reef Anemones and have never ben happier. The only problem is when kept in a small tank below 30 you will increse the chance of the fish being ate alive. Not as much as the clowns but something like a goby or some type of smaller fish like so.I right now have a pair of of Tomatos in one.The anemone would not host them for about 3 to 5 days but he soon came around and would not retract into the rock.

It is about the only thing that my dyslexic head gets straight. :)

I have had a condy in my 40 gal. breeder for a year , and my clowns never went near it . I put a bta in same tank last week and they wont come out of the bta. Clowns are not from Atlantic, so most times will not take to a cone. BUT Stichodactyla helianthus = Caribbean carpet anemone Has hosted to A. melanopus . This genus is fond in the Indo - Pacific Were all clowns come from.

Our pair of clarkis try to get into the condy and do for a short term, however, they beat and thrash on it so much the condy gets irritated deflates and floats off to the back wall under the rocks every few days.

There are 3 species of cardinals that associate with condy's in nature, I collected one group and the anemone they were in in the past. Made an interesting display for a while, but a little boring. The cardinals are a dull red color, and nocternal so it wasn't a great display.

I had a maroon host to a condy in my 75gallon. She mostly just beat it constantly. I didn't think she would host to it but clowns are wierd. I had a pair of false perks that hosted to a clump of hair algae so when i cleaned that tank I always left that clump alone. Clowns will host to just about anything (except the anemone you want them to according to the people on this board). My maroon was huge so I really wasn't worried about it getting eaten but maybe my condy was small.

my maroon loves its condy even though everyone says there non hosting nems she thrashes around in it

If you buy a nem/clown that you see living together in a lfs, what are the chances that they'll split when they get into your tank?
What I mean by split is the clown rejects the nem or the nem rejects the clown.
