Anyone here use one to lessen the moisture in your home? If so, can you recommend a place to get one and maybe a brand thats not too expensive but still gets the job done? I live in a condo and cant install some type of ventilation system that you normaly would in a regular home so i figured a dehumidifier is the best method. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I had one but ditched it. It was basically an AC unit that did not emit cool air. I think it would work better to just use an A/C unit that also dehumidifies. For me I chose to run the home A/C unit more often. It actually cost me less in electricity to run.

My uses about 400 watts and it emits a lot of heat also but it does pull the humidity It is a LG and I got if from Home Depot for about 225 dollars I would second the window A/C if you can get away with it.

We got one of the Soleus Air models from Amazon when we were doing some remodeling and had water seeping into the house. As noted above, it emits a lot of heat, but it does reduce the humidity in the winter when the AC won't kick on/isn't wanted. If you're willing to put up with heat (and some noise), I'd recommend it.
