anyone use frozen formula 1?

I bought some for the 1st time and don't think ill use it. I didn't realize it was like a geletin cube of food. I tried it and my clown just carries it to the toadstool it hosts in and drops it :lol: IMO it's just gonna end up blown under a rock somplace and rot.

How do you feed with it?

I prefer to buy the flat pac it breaks apart easier and has a different consistency, not a compressed gel-like substance like the cubes. When I have to use cubes I thaw them and break them up into pieces before I drop the whole cube in the tank or cut it into 1/2 or 1/4's for smaller portions.

I tried both the frozen 1 and 2, I thawed them first. Both of them were totally neglected by my clowns and pseudochromis. One of my shrimp seemed a little interested. I tried a couple of times then fed the rest to my goldfish.

My fish hated the stuff too....including my PBT - he won't even touch it.
However, we did throw it into the fish mash we made - just to get rid of it!

All my fish go NUTS over the fish mash we made! Better than any of the commercial products I bought (remember the group order of frozen foods....I bought around 6-8 different packs....none compare to the homemade stuff).

It was the best food I have fed to my guys. I have much more to contribute this time also....rather feed the mash then feed the individual stuff any day.

Any interest in getting together again at my place?

ps...I promise to shuck the mussels before anybody gets here

Yeah I never had good luck with them except for mashing it into our homemade frozen food batch which might I add I have maybe a months worth left (hint, hint)

Diddo with me - some of mine will eat the stuff if they are hungry enough, but given the choice of Nori or even good flakes versus formula 1 - the formula will just be left to drop to the sand bed
