Anyone use MicMol LED?

You can't just go with blanket statements like that. It really depends on the coral, some will color up better with more spectrum than just blues and violets.

What other colors are you referring to? Wasn't a blanket statement. Regarding white, it's been demonstrated through extensive research that white isn't there in the natural reef. Therefore not a requirement. I think that Pacific Sun has a led fixture out now that has NO WHITE LEDs. What your saying sounds like aesthetically...your eye likes what colors the coral looks like with the white?

You know what constitutes white right? There's a reason why PS can get away with not using white.

Go read some AA articles.

Reefs aren't all the same depth. SPS colors up differently depending on the spectrum of light.

I agree with you. :) I have read articles thank you. What part of the spectrum is in question or the issue for you? Please, enlighten me on why PS can " get away with it"?

Wow looks nice. Clearly they're taking a few notes from Apple lol . the "unibody" cut from aluminum, the box and everything looks like its made by Apple. There's even an iPad in the pics .. Hopefully there as good as they look

Think about what constitutes white light. This is how PS can not use a white LED but still have white light.

You can't make blanket statements about what corals need because corals, especially SPS are found at different depths. IF you follow SPS forums, you'll see people continuously play with placement, bulb mixes, spectrum because some extremely colorful corals will respond with different coloration to different amounts and spectrums of light.

White light isn't just for people.

Let's please move on? We know what white light is. This isn't the place to discus properties of different pigments and absorption/emission. PM the OP a link to that thread on coral coloration if it means that much to you.

+1 , move on. I want to see more about this snazzy little light and how well it works over time....

Uh what? he is the one who kept asking

Well i only ask because I read in a different forum that they wouldn't work on a timer. I just was wondering if anyone with the LED can give me their experiences.

the link to the other forum>>>NR Forum

The first generation doesn't work on timer but the currently sold generation have timers built in with dimming.
