Im going to do a 10G nano nano saltwater tank. I got a 10G tank with a stip light. Its a t-8 bulb. 18watts. Would that be enough lighting for fish and soft corals. I dont want to buy a PC or MH. I just bought a MH for my 55G. It set me back 600.00 bucks. I want to do this tank cheap If I can.It will be for my office

imo no it wont be enough. NO lights dont push out much light at all...and plus that would only be 1.8 watts of light per gallon (not that that is a good rule to go by, but i'm saying that little amount of that weak of light probably wont get you to grow anything) I'd say mushrooms at the most, but i personally dont think it will grow those.

go to hellolights.com and they've got tons of stuff. Look for a diy or retro fit setup. I'd think you could get a single 65w retro or diy for like 5-70 bucks.

Or you could check the selling forums here...they sell lights all the time

I think you could use NO lights, but I think you need 3 or 4 bulbs. I know Paul B used them for years over his 30 plus year old reef.
